Consider $f(x)=\dfrac{x-4}{x^2+9}$.

(a) Find $f’(x)$.

(b) Find $\displaystyle\lim_{x\to+\infty} f(x)$.

(c) Find the greatest value and the least value of $f(x)$.

(d) Three tangents to the curve $y=f(x)$ pass through the point $\left(0,-\dfrac49\right)$. Find the slopes of these tangents.

($2 + 2 + 4 + 5$ marks)

Suggested Solution

maybe one day I’ll eventually credit the questions.
